Yeah the front does have a Euro Ford aesthetic of the period. Could be a stretched Fiesta. I dunno how much of the car is the same, though. At this point they still didn’t have a global car, as far as I know

The global cars came in the mid 80s, with the sierra and Scorpio. Those were marketed weirdly in the US though and not offered as the mainstream cars they were.
